I bought $32.45 worth of hair stuff at Sally Beauty Supply! I was only going in to get one thing. I can’t even remember what I needed, but I’m pretty sure I never grabbed it. The Perm rods were on sale and that’s the only reason why I got them. I think they were $1.99 per pack, but don’t quote me on it.
Last week I used the orange perm rods for the first time and I didn’t care for them too much. I thought that they would look amazing on straightened hair, but it wasn’t the case. It looked like a chunky twist out. I didn’t take pictures, but I’m thinking about comparing the two and posting the results. Let me know if you guys want to see it. I also used the straightening brush it works really well. The tool is supposed to be used while straightening your hair using the chase method. When I saw it in the store, I was so eager to try it that I ignored that fact that the bristle was really hard. It probably caused my strands to break, but at the time it seemed like a cool thing to do. I haven’t used this heat protectant in a couple of years, so I’ll let you know if it’s worth the money when I straighten my hair again.
what I purchased:
- 4 packs of orange perm rods
- 2 packs of purple perm rods
- Beyond the zone Heat Protectant
- brush for straightening
- bobby pins
